Vapid Lacquer - August Releases

Hi guys!  Today I am thrilled to be able to share with you two polishes from Vapid Lacquer and a new scent of Moisturizing Body Mist that will be available August 19, 2017.

 ~ Press Sample ~

First lets start off with the polish, now these two polishes may look familiar to some of you veteran Vapid Lacquer lovers! That's because they are two polishes the Vapid team is bringing back after being highly requested.  These two beauties are Dragon Eggs, and Sea Glass.  They are made following the same recipe and formula as the original release.

Lets take a look at "Dragon Eggs".  Dragon Eggs was previously released under the name "Dragon Eggs In My Easter Basket".  The maker describes it as an orchid\purple with ultra-chrome flakes in pink, purple, blue, and gold. It is SO sparkly!

The first set of pictures are topped using Vapid Lacquer Get Your Shine On! High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat, and then shown using a matte topcoat.

All photos for Dragon Eggs are shown in 3 thin coats.  This was absolutely opaque in two coats, but I wanted to see how 3 would look with a smidge more of those beautiful flakes.  The formula is amazing, I barely had to do any clean up it was so easy to control.

Next up is "Sea Glass".  Sea Glass is described by the maker as a peachy, beachy base with shifting ultra-chrome flakes of pink, purple, blue, and gold.

I know nude toned colors can be hit or miss for some people, but this one is definitely a hit!  It's absolutely stunning.  It makes you feel kind of dainty with a bit of an edge...or, well, maybe thats just me.

Sea Glass is shown in two coats.  It has amazing coverage for a light nude toned polish. The first set of pictures are topped using Vapid Lacquer Get Your Shine On! High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat, and then also shown using a matte topcoat.

Both Dragon Eggs and Sea Glass apply smoothly and remove easily.  The flakes lie flat on the nail, and while they may stick to your skin with a little sparkle, you won't need to scrub at all when you decide to remove them.

I have one last thing I wanted to share with you, I was fortunate to receive Vapid's Moisturizing Body Mist in a new scent called Quiet Morning.  Please ignore the label, as soon as I pulled it out of the shipping box, being the butterfingers that I am, I promptly dropped it into my dog's water dish!  Luckily the label held on like a champ.

Quiet Morning is a very light scent.  It has a fresh lemony\citrus kind of scent to my nose, and I absolutely love it.  The name, paired with the scent, just elicits images of sitting on a porch, sipping coffee, enjoying the quiet, and early morning scents, as the world around you wakes up.

There are also a few other scents being released, they are:  Candy Clouds, Capistrano, Trash Can Punch, Hard Candy, and Unicorn Milk.  Trash Can Punch, Hard Candy, and Unicorn Milk, are all new scents, along with Quiet Morning.

All of this wonderfulness releases on August 19, 2017!
Happy Shopping!

Polished For Days - Xantho

Hi everyone! Today I'm back with a gorgeous polish from Polished For Days to share with you!

Xantho is described by the maker as a soft grey holographic with holographic flakes, and copper shimmer.

Polished For Days has an amazing formula, and this was no exception.  Each of the polishes that I've tried from this brand have been the perfect balance; not thick, but not thin.  Shown above is two coats with a glossy top coat, although it was almost opaque in one for me.

I am so glad I took my friend, Amanda, from Little Mermaid Nailed It's, advice and picked this one up.  It's a unique color in my collection, and I totally have a love for all things made with the holo flakes used here.  Xantho is a polish you won't want to miss out on, and you can get it here for $11.

Anchor & Heart - You Are Enough

Hi everyone!  I know it's been quite some time since I've posted, but I want to try and do things differently.  Originally, I was only using my blog when I had collections to post, but now I want to just try and blog what I'm wearing, so I hope you all will be okay with one polish posts!

The polish I wanted to talk about today is the gorgeous "You Are Enough" from Anchor & Heart Lacquer!

"You Are Enough" is part of Anchor & Heart Lacquer's“Message In A Bottle” series. Each month one polish will be released, to promote an empowering message of love, confidence, and self acceptance! The polishes will be available for all of 2017, not just the month that they are released. The original concept for this series is credited to Becky of @NakedWithoutPolish. (information obtained from Anchor & Heart's website)

"You Are Enough" is their Feburary 2017 polish and I cannot believe it took me this long to wear it! I picked this beauty up from their table at NY Polish Con.  It is described by the maker as a dark pink jelly based holo with shimmering pink/orange glass flecks and UCC flakies that shift green/blue/purple.

The swatches are all shown with 2 coats plus topcoat. My photos don't quite capture the true beauty of this polish, the holo and shimmer is much more striking in person!  The formula was excellent, it applied smoothly and evenly.  The flakies lay flat and smooth.

"You Are Enough" sells for $11 and you can get it here!

Fancy Gloss - New Thermal Alert!

Today I have a beautiful new Thermal Polish from Fancy Gloss to share with you.  This beauty is named Shattered Heart and it's simply divine, I couldn't wait to show it to you!

This is a deep red when cold, and a bright red when warm. There are holo shards in there too for an extra bit of sparkle!

Shown in my swatches are two coats plus topcoat.  The polish dries down with a bit of texture, but it's not a lot.  One coat of topcoat and it was all smooth.  The formula and application was great, no issues to report.

I'll post some solo shots below for a closer look.

Colors by Llarowe - April 2017 Polish of the Month - "Living on Borrowed Time"

Hi everyone!!  A new month brings us another Polish of the Month from Colors by Llarowe, and this
one is another stunner (shocker, right?)!

The April Polish of the Month is called "Living on Borrowed Time".  It's described as an orchid purple linear holographic with blue and red flame. The blue flame is strong causing this polish to be a teeny bit of a chameleon as it can look different in various lighting situations or time of day. It  should be noted that it is reactive and can deepen in hue depending on the top coat you use.

My swatches are shown with two coats plus topcoat.

This is a one time pre-order polish that will be launched on the first of April.  The pre-order will be open for 24 hours, from 12:00pm Mountain Time until 12:00pm Mountain Time the next day.  This polish will only be available for purchase on the 1st of each month and then will not be offered again. If you're a purple lover, you definitely won't want to miss this beauty!

The April 2017 Polish of the Month will be available starting March 31st through the entire month of April in Sweet & Sour Lacquer's shop.

The April 2017 POTM is a purple holographic multichrome that shifts from purple to blue to a magenta.  It applies easily with a great formula and removes easily too.  All my pictures will show two coats plus topcoat.

I also did some stamping using April 2017 as my base, I'll have a tutorial up on my Instagram soon!

Also, check out this awesome video on the Sweet & Sour Lacquer Instagram page where she shows the shift amazingly!
