Cuticula - Blush and Wildest Dreams - October 2018 Polish Pickup

Hi there!  Today I am ridiculously happy to share with you the two offerings that Cuticula is bringing to the October 2018 Polish Pickup!

She is debuting the newest addition to her Silk Basecoat line and it's called Blush Base Coat.

She is also releasing a new flakie top coat, called Wildest Dreams, but this one has Rose Gold Flakes (i had to bold it because i'm that excited over it)

Before we dive in, let's get to those details.

Inspiration:
Regina George from Mean Girls

When:
October 5 through October 8th

Where:
Price:
$15.50 for the duo

-or-

For the individuals:
Blush Base Coat - $8.50
Wildest Dreams Top Coat - $9.00

Cap:
None

Must Be Wednesday Duo

Blush Base Coat
Blush Base Coat is a pink tinted version of Silk. This has a pink tint that was made to look natural when worn alone. Blush still offers you the wonderful benefits of Silk base that you've come to know and love such as:

5 Free
Fast Drying
Hours of scent once fully dry
Blurs imperfections
Pink tint for the perfect french look
Helps brighten the nail
Protects against cracking of splitting
Durable protection for a long-lasting mani

Must Be Wednesday Blush Base Coat is scented with a blend of black raspberry and vanilla.  This scent is yummy and familiar.  The raspberry and vanilla blend together to create a very comforting scent.  The scent is on the lighter side, but it has lasting power too which I love.

Silk Base Coat is my go-to basecoat for both protection and looks. I was beyond thrilled when she added this to the line.

My nails have yellowed a bit from years and years of nail polish wear, and Silk's milky white would lessen that a bit for me.  Blush does it even better with the pink tint! I am much less self-conscious when wearing Blush alone, and since getting it, I have done just that many times.  It's dainty and shiny while giving me great protection which I need because I am SO clumsy that without it I would surely have broken all my nails by now.

I have Blush shown in two coats. It has a wonderful formula that dries nice and fast so you can get to the polishing, or just go about your daily business wearing only it.

Wildest Dreams Timeless Top Coat

Wildest Dreams Top Coat is a rose gold micro flakes top coat.

This stunning top coat can be worn over Blush for a delicate look (which I have swatches of for you), or  you can apply it over darker colors and watch these micro flakes flash a beautiful rose gold.

Must Be Wednesday Wildest Dreams Top Coat is scented with a lovely blend of black raspberry and vanilla. This scent is yummy and familiar.  This is the same scent as the Blush Base Coat.  To me and my nose, the raspberry and vanilla blend together to create a very comforting scent.  The scent is on the lighter side, but it has lasting power too which I love.

The Wildest Dreams Top Coat is also really cool in that it is actually a top coat.  It is the same formula as Cuticula's Timeless Top Coat so you don't have to deal with the extra step of adding a top coat over it.  Once you add Wildest Dreams over your polish, and it dries you are done.  It dries nice, shiny, and sparkly!

Wildest Dreams has an excellent formula that applied very evenly in just one coat.  It also removes easily.  My swatches show 1 coat over a black creme polish.

Some benefits to the Timeless Top Coat
5 free
fast drying (Your nails will be dry to the touch in about 3 minutes, but please give 30-45 to fully cure every layer)
Hours of scent once fully dry
High gloss shine
Non Yellowing
Durable Protection
Flashes of scattered rose gold flakes

Now I have pictures showing Wildest Dreams over Blush Base Coat.
This is 1 coat of Wildest Dreams over 2 coats of Blush Base Coat.

I know I mentioned prices above but I wanted to just remind you guys that these are available individually, or for a small discount as the duo.

Some background on what Polish Pickup itself is.

Polish Pickup is a group on Facebook that is an interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas and then everyone votes for their favorite choice.

After the winning theme is chosen and announced, different brands will create polishes, nail art items, or bath and beauty products, based off of the chosen monthly theme, that will be available for preorder on the Polish Pickup website for the first Friday of each month at 11 AM EST.

It stays open for four days, until the following Monday at Midnight EST.  At that point, all the products available are gone, and won't be back as everything is Limited Edition for that month.

Since all polishes are pre-ordered, they will ship a minimum of 3 weeks after sale commencement.

And, the cherry on top? Polish Pickup ships for a flat fee of $3 in the US and $5 for Canada.  They also ship internationally at cost!

Polished for Days | Little Sea Spies - October 2018 Polish Pickup

Hi guys today I am back and I have something stunning to share with you! I have Little Sea Spies which is Polished For Days contribution to the October 2018 Polish Pickup.

It's gorgeous and shifty, and in the blue family so you know I'm totally smitten!

First, details!

Inspiration:
Flotsam & Jetsam from The Little Mermaid

When:
October 5 through October 8th

Where:

Price:
$12.50

Cap:
None

Little Sea Spies is described as a teal base with pink-blue-aqua shifting iridescent flakes, pink to green shifting iridescent micro flakes and micro holographic flakes.

Little Sea Spies is absolute perfection! The teal base is right up my alley and I just love the green flash and pink shimmer.  I was so mesmerized while wearing this, I swear I think I took at least three videos of the polish in different lighting environments to share with you guys.

Little Sea Spies has an excellent formula.  It applied smoothly and evenly.  It did not stain and removed easily.

My swatches show two coats plus a glossy top coat.

I also did some nail stamping over Little Sea Spies! Some fun underwater bubbles!

Hyrule Sunset - 1850 Artisan Polish

Hi guys! Today I have something beautiful for you, but I guess you kinda knew that after reading the title. ;)

I am honored to share with you 1850 Artisan Polish very first group custom for the Polished Gamers Facebook group!

This is Hyrule Sunset, and it was created based on fan art that was inspired by the video game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

*not my photo*
I was unable to find the original to give credit, if you know it, please drop me a comment.

First, let's talk details.

When:
Available for one month beginning on September 14, 2018

Where:
Join the Facebook Group "Polished Gamers" for the link and more information!
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2020189871644665/

Now, the swatches!

Hyrule Sunset is described as a multichrome that shifts from a raspberry magenta to a golden orange. It is filled with shifting aurora pigments that create a shimmering sunset.

Hyrule Sunset is so pretty and Nikki really matched that inspiration picture spot on.  The shifts on this hit on just about all the colors in the photo.  I've worn this three times since I received it and still find myself seeing different shifts.

The formula was wonderful.  It wasn't too thick or too thin and applied very smoothly and evenly.  It did not stain and removed easily.

My swatches show two coats plus a glossy top coat.

I snapped a quick picture of it on my cindy hand to show it on shorites.

This and the next picture are shown outside and in the shade.

Before I leave you, I wanted to show you some fun nail stamping I did with Hyrule Sunset as my base.
