Fancy Gloss - The Pixie Collection

Today I am excited to share with you some swatches of an upcoming collection from Fancy Gloss called The Pixie Collection!

This collection will be releasing on Friday, October 7th at 8pm EST in Fancy Gloss' Shop.

One thing before we get into the swatches, Jackie, the maker of Fancy Gloss, sent me this gorgeous leaf magnet that anyone who buys the entire Pixie Collection will receive with their order. There are other colors, green, pink, purple, red, silver that she showed me, and they're just as stunning.  These magnets just seem to have an inner glow about them! I want to find a way to hang it from my rear view mirror, I think it would be just stunning spinning around in the sun!

First, I wanted to talk about the formula and application to avoid being repetitive.  Each swatch is shown with two coats of polish, and topped with one coat of a quick dry glossy topcoat.  All the Pixies were very smooth and easy to apply.  As always with Fancy Gloss, I experienced zero application issues.  They do dry a bit textured because of the microglitter, so you're going to want a glossy topcoat to make it smooth.

Now, let's get to the pretty polish!

Red Pixie is a red holographic microglitter.

Orange Pixie is an orange holographic microglitter.

Herb Pixie is a chartreuse/yellow holographic microglitter.

Emerald Pixie is a green holographic microglitter with a flash of gold.

Ocean Pixie is a dark blue holographic microglitter.  It has some silver microglitters mixed in and a bit of a pink flash!

Sky Pixie is a light blue holographic microglitter.

Purple Pixie is a light to medium purple holographic microglitter.

Lastly I wanted to include Pixie Rose.  I already posted this in another blog post, but wanted to include it to show the Pixie Collection as a whole.  Pixie Rose is a pinky/nude holographic microglitter.

Overall the Pixie Collection is gorgeous and so distractingly sparkly!  My favorite of the entire collection is Orange Pixie, I am such a sucker for a pretty orange polish this time of year.

Here is a little sneak peek of some nail art I did with the Pixies that I'll be posting on my Instagram!

Born Pretty Store Review

Today I wanted to share with you a few items from the Born Pretty Store!  A representative named Rita, reached out to me and asked if I wanted to review a few items from their store.  Of course I said yes!  I just love Born Pretty and shop there as often as my wallet allows!

These  are the items that I chose below!

Liquid Latex (light blue bottle) (ID=27296)

I received the items in about 4 weeks, which, since they ship out of China, is the usual time almost all of my orders from the Born Pretty Store take.

I immediately fell in love with the Clear Jelly Silicone Marshmallow Stamper.  It's that perfect kind of squishy I look for in a clear stamper.  My nails are long and have a little bit of a c curve, so if a stamper is too firm, I can never get it to work for me.  This stamper however, molds itself to your nail for a wonderful stamp each time.  Needless to say, this stamper has made a home for itself on my desk for quick everyday access.

The stamping plate is BP-X06.  I had a little bit of trouble with picking up the images at first, but that may have been my fault.  I think I didn't clean off the plate after I removed the blue film well enough, because once I was able to get an image to pick up, I had zero problems.  So don't be like me, give your plates a good cleaning with some acetone when you first get them!

The Liquid Latex is one of my favorites ever.  It dries nice and fast, and removes in one clean, easy peel.  I will definitely be buying this in a bigger bottle when it runs out!

Now on to a little nail art!  I really loved how the teal/green stamping polish looked over this orange Fancy Gloss prototype.  It gave off a real Halloween feel, getting me ready for fall!

I received these items in exchange for an honest review.

Fancy Gloss: Black Cherry Merlot & Pixie Rose

Today I have two new Polishes from Fancy Gloss to share with you!

I'm always excited when I have new Fancy Gloss to share as they were my introduction into Holo polish and subsequently, Indie Polish. I was scrolling through Instagram one Sunday night after having finished dinner at my parents house. I was looking through the suggested photo's and saw "Chocolate Muffin", a gorgeous brown holo, and I stopped, amazed at the sparkly beauty, and knew immediately I had to have it! Unfortunately for me, her shop was on vacation, and I wasn't able to get it! After that night, I did a lot of searching under the hashtag, #holographicpolish and found the gorgeous world of Indie Polish!

Anyway, I digress. Today I wanted to share two of her newest polishes, Black Cherry Merlot and Pixie Rose.  These two will be available on FridaySeptember 16th at 8pm EST in Fancy Gloss Shop!

Black Cherry Merlot is a deep, vampy, red creme polish.

Black Cherry Merlot is shown here in one coat, plus glossy topcoat.  I was able to get it opaque in just one coat, but if you have longer nails, you may need two. The formula is great, smooth and very easy to apply.

Pixie Rose is a pinky/nude holographic microglitter polish.

Pixie Rose is shown here in two coats, plus glossy topcoat.

It is so sparkly and gorgeous, pictures can't do it justice.  I want to link you to an Instagram video Jackie, the maker of Fancy Gloss, posted to her Instagram so you can see Pixie Rose in all of it's gorgeousness.   Direct Link Here.
