Cuticula Scented Nail Tape - Fall Releases!

Today I am ridiculously excited to have the line up of Cuticula Scented Nail Tape's Fall Scents to share with you!

~ Press Sample ~

Let me start off by telling you what Cuticula Scented Nail Tape is.  Cuticula is a brand of liquid latex that is used commonly for nail art.  What you do is apply it around your cuticles before you start your nail art.  Once it dries, you can begin your gradient, watermarble, stamping, or any other nail art that gets kinda messy.

Doing this quick step will potentially save you a large chunk of time on clean up after you've finished your art.  All you have to do is peel the latex off, and where it was applied, you will have clean skin underneath.

What separates Cuticula Scented Nail Tape from other brands is it comes in a wide variety of scents, and colors, with tiny glitters inside to make it pretty and fun to use.  Those tiny glitters remove cleanly too, so you won't have to worry about them sticking to your skin.  Cuticula also has the best peel of any latex brand I have tried.  It peels in one smooth pull.  I used to use a cheap commercial brand and it was frustrating because it would peel off in bits and pieces, even occasionally getting on top of, or into, the nail art I just created, and smelled awful.

Cuticula just launched their fall scents, and they are amazing.  I'm going to do my best to describe to you what I smell, but my sniffer isn't the best, so I will also be including the official description from the maker.

Let's go jump right into it!

#Pumpkinallthethings

Of course I had to start off with the staple scent of fall, #pumpkinallthethings!  This is described as a sweet sugar pumpkin puree spiced with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, layered onto a warm, sweet butter crust, and drizzled with maple and honey.

This smells just like a pumpkin pie! You know how the house smells when someone is baking a pumpkin pie? Well somehow they managed to stuff that into this tiny bottle and it's kinda awesome.

Baked Apple Pie

Baked Apple Pie is described to have  top notes of delicious tart green apples and brown sugar, with a dash of cinnamon and a soft balance of vanilla, pie crust, and butter.

The scent of fresh apples definitely comes to me first before the comforting scent of vanilla.  When I put this on, the first thing that always comes to my mind is that second right before I'm about to bite into a warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.  It's glorious and has caused me to nag my boyfriend to promise he will be baking me an apple pie this fall.

Dr. P

Dr. P is described as spicy orange and cherry notes with toasted almond, clove, and cinnamon. Reminiscent of a cold and refreshing can of Dr Pepper soda.

One thing I love is having a nice deli sandwich and a can of Dr. Pepper to wash it down.  This does not disappoint.  It smells just like the soda without all those fizzy bubbles irritating your nose!

Huckleberry

Huckleberry is described as a juicy scent of blueberry with raspberry, grape, strawberry, and peach top notes in a sweet background.

I love this one.  I have never had a Huckleberry so I don't have anything to compare this to.  To me it kinda smells like sweet tarts.  Its a subtle, sweet kind of scent that reminds me of candy.  Also, can we talk about the latex color/glitter combo?  I want a nail polish exactly like this!  I usually shy away from glitter, but these small ones are so easy to manage and remove.

Out Of The Woods

Out Of The Woods is described as a captivating blend of fig with woods, moss, musk, hyacinth with vanilla.

This scent is a favorite of mine.  I don't even know how to describe it.  It kind of reminds me of my boyfriends shirt that I used to steal to sleep in.  If it were a perfume I would buy it in a heartbeat.  It's not a strong smell at all, it's quite subtle, so i'm unsure if it would be classified a manly smell, but I may not be the best person to ask as I prefer to wear mens deodorant over ladies.  It just smells way better.

Campfire S'mores

Campfire S'mores is described as graham cracker, chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and smoky campfire notes.

The graham cracker and marshmallow are the first things that I smell. As a kid I used to love S'mores, so this one is a big hit with me!

Candied Pears

Candied Pears is described as a delicious blend of sweet ripened pears in a dreamy creamy caramel sauce.

Candied Pears smells DELICIOUS and I don't even eat pears, it's a texture thing.  It really smells like a juicy fruit that you just want to bite into.  The caramel smell is subtle but just adds to the mouth watering that happens when I apply this one.

There is one more new addition to the Cuticula line, a new scent in the Peel Off Base Coat:

"On To The Next"

This new scent, Huckleberry, was voted by the Cuticula Facebook group by a near landslide.  It smells the same as the Nail Tape of the same name.  To refresh your memory, so you don't have to be bothered to scroll up, Huckleberry is described as a juicy scent of blueberry with raspberry, grape, strawberry, and peach top notes in a sweet background.

The Peel Off Base Coat is not intended for longterm wear.  I've gotten anywhere from 2-3 hours to 24 hours.  It all depends on what you're doing.  It's amazing for swatching, which is it's original intention.  It applies with the subtle baby pink shade, and when it's totally dry, it's completely clear, so you know you're all set and ready to paint your nails.
